So we heard this yesterday and we thought you should hear it too - Ted Hearne's Katrina Ballads, an album dedicated to the Katrina tragedy and debacle in 2005, created around some of the most memorable quotes of the time. Not least, Bush's classic "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job!". From their website - "These are the words of politicians and celebrities, survivors and relief workers, taken directly from footage experienced by those of us outside the Gulf Coast, as it unfolded via a constant and real-time stream of national media". Check out the rest of the group's stuff on that bandcamp. IT SHOULD BE A MUSICAL.

Ok so anyone who has visited this site with even passing regularity will have noticed that nothing has changed here for quite a while. Well thankfully the barriers and problems that have been in place for years have finally dissolved. TECHNICALLY this means that Bad Egg is not only back on the rails but ready with some new releases and a bit of a new direction. 2012 is going to be a good year.

First up we have a preview for a new DJ Young Conservative release based on the graphic score of Cornelius Cardew's 'Treatise'. The record will comprise of a series of one-minute noise tracks as interpretations of the original score so PRETTY EXCITING. There are two previews to be heard - Page 64 and Page 142.

Second, we are finally on track to get the physical production of Stinky Wizzleteat - 'Teat Law' underway. This was recorded absolutely ages ago so we're pretty happy we are in a position to finally get it made. This is the final set of recording that Jim 'Jimcore' Commander made with the band and needless to say is a special recording indeed. It'll be available as a run of 250 on CD, but can als be heard here

Thirdly, and unfortunately finally, Skinny Limbs are no more. After a hand-full of shows and one amazing tour with the excellent Klaus Kinski the simple facts of geographical separation put the first and last nail in an otherwise brand new and untarnished coffin and laid waste to a promise of recording. So it goes.
